The Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade has initiated an investigation following a violent incident that occurred on Wednesday evening involving students Miloš Pavlović and Vladimir Balać in Studentski Park, Belgrade.

In a statement, the office emphasized that any acts of violence on the streets of Belgrade must be addressed in accordance with the law.

Pavlović and Balać reported that they were attacked by a group of individuals while at a local café, resulting in their subsequent hospitalization at the Urgent Center.

The health condition of both students has been assessed by Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar, who provided a statement regarding Pavlović's injuries.

Footage circulated on social media reportedly shows Pavlović, who was present at the café, facing aggression as he attempted to leave with friends who were trying to protect him.

Witnesses described the chaotic scene where cans of beer and water were thrown in Pavlović's direction amidst a crowd of young people that gathered around the incident.

While the videos do not offer a clear account of the events, Pavlović later addressed the public from the Urgent Center in a wheelchair, accompanied by Minister Lončar, who confirmed that Pavlović suffered a blow to the head, leading to significant consequences for his health.

This incident marks a troubling pattern for Pavlović, who was previously attacked in March.

During that incident, reports indicated that he was sprayed with pepper spray by a local politician associated with the Kreni-Promeni movement, who was subsequently detained by authorities.

The ongoing violence directed towards Pavlović continues to raise concerns within the community regarding student safety and public order in Belgrade.
