Tragic Stabbing Incident Outside Technical School in Belgrade

A former student allegedly attacked a 19-year-old student outside 'Radoje Dakić' Mechanical School, raising concerns over school safety.
On [date], at approximately 4 PM local time, a violent incident occurred outside the 'Radoje Dakić' Mechanical School in the Rakovica neighborhood of Belgrade, resulting in serious injuries to a 19-year-old final-year student, identified as F.M.

Preliminary reports indicate that F.M. was approached by a group of young men after classes had concluded.

Eyewitness accounts describe a confrontation that escalated quickly.

F.M. was reportedly confronted while attempting to mount his motorcycle, which he regularly used for commuting to and from school.

One of his attackers, a former student of the same institution, allegedly struck F.M. from behind before using a knife to inflict two stabbing wounds.

Despite his injuries, F.M. managed to escape and ran towards the school entrance seeking assistance.

Eyewitnesses noted that the assailant followed him, but abandoned the chase after losing some clothing during the pursuit.

At this time, a school security officer who was patrolling the area intervened.

Upon reaching the school, F.M. was visibly injured, prompting immediate action from school officials.

Emergency services were notified, and both police and paramedics arrived on the scene swiftly.

Paramedics provided initial medical care before transporting F.M. to a nearby urgent care facility for further treatment.

Reports indicate that although his injuries are serious, he is not in life-threatening condition, having sustained knife wounds to the front of his right shoulder and the back near his right scapula.

The police conducted a scene investigation, collecting testimonies from school staff and several witnesses.

Surveillance footage from nearby cameras is also being reviewed to assist in identifying all individuals involved in the incident.

Preliminary unofficial information suggests that the altercation may have been linked to unresolved conflicts between F.M. and his attacker.

However, F.M. has reportedly declined to cooperate with investigative authorities, claiming no knowledge of his assailant or the motive behind the attack.

Notably, this incident is not the first of its kind at the school.

Reports indicate a history of violent confrontations involving current and former students, including instances where weapons have been involved.

A nearby preschool employee highlighted the frequency of such incidents occurring in the vicinity of the school grounds.

While the school is equipped with security measures, including a security officer and surveillance cameras, challenges remain in ensuring comprehensive safety, particularly given the presence of other educational institutions nearby that attract children, raising concerns over public safety in the area.

As the investigation continues, authorities are working to address safety concerns and prevent further incidents outside schools.
