The event emphasizes the importance of artificial intelligence in IT careers and digital businesses.
The 'AI Week' festival in Serbia, running from June 2 to June 10, has seen over 500 attendees in its first four days.
The festival features a series of practical events aimed at equipping participants with skills to advance their careers in IT and digital business, a sector increasingly influenced by artificial intelligence, according to Startit.
Experts from across Europe, including speakers from major companies such as
Facebook and Perplexity, have positively assessed the strong interest from the Serbian audience in this technology, noting its significance for anyone whose work involves computers, from programmers to administrative staff.
The first two days of the event focused on advanced techniques for developing AI models and hosted a 'vibe hackathon', a programming competition for non-programmers, organized by the Dutch software company Levi9.
On June 4, five simultaneous events took place at four locations in Belgrade, led by experts in programming, design, product development, and entrepreneurship.
The following day featured two events at separate locations, concentrating on video game development using artificial intelligence and software engineering.
Nataša Rađenović, the Chief Innovation Officer at OTP Bank in Serbia, stated that artificial intelligence will have a profound impact on the economy, similar to previous technological revolutions.
She emphasized the bank's commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and innovators in utilizing these technologies effectively.
Vukašin Stojkov, founder of Startit and organizer of AI Week, expressed gratitude to the companies that have contributed to funding these programs, including Solflare, Alt Labs, Zuhlke, Streamflow, Vacation Tracker, Levi9, Insightful, OTP Bank, and Nortal.
The festival will continue to host a variety of events focusing on different applications of artificial intelligence, highlighting local innovators, and featuring specialists from global AI leaders with offices in Serbia, such as Microsoft, Databricks, and TensTorrent.
