The 'AI Week' festival, focused on artificial intelligence (AI), was inaugurated on Monday in Belgrade, organized by Startit.
The event is set to run until June 10 and aims to connect leaders from the IT industry and startup communities across the region and Europe.

Stojkov described AI’s influence as both a major positive and negative shock, underscoring the necessity for society to prepare for this transformation.
He stated, 'It is crucial for our nature and society to be thoroughly prepared for this impending arrival.'
Over the course of ten days, the festival will feature more than 20 events, where experts from across Europe will share knowledge on how best to adapt to AI's advancements, with a particular focus on the IT sector.
The sessions will include discussions on application development and model setups in the AI era.
Stojkov noted, 'To keep pace with this revolution, we must start as soon as possible and take the implications of AI seriously.' He highlighted the accessibility of AI tools, stating that even individuals who previously lacked extensive IT expertise can now create new applications and solutions.
He further explained that while individuals with existing IT skills will have a competitive edge, there is an opportunity for everyone with creative and entrepreneurial inclinations to leverage this technological wave.
The festival is open to participants of all ages, with Stojkov indicating a diverse range of attendees, from teenagers to those over 60. 'This technology will impact all of us significantly, and it is important for each person to understand it seriously,' he remarked.
