Two individuals detained on suspicion of various criminal offenses, including incitement to violence against state representatives.
Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia executed two separate operations today, resulting in the arrest of P. Đ.
(35) and S. J. (43) on orders from the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade.
The arrests relate to accusations of several criminal acts.
P. Đurić is charged with inciting violent changes to the constitutional order.
From December 2024 to March 2025, he allegedly posted messages on multiple social media platforms, including
Facebook, Instagram, and X, urging citizens to forcibly overthrow the President of the Republic of Serbia, thereby threatening the constitutional order.
In a separate case, S. J. is accused of violent behavior at a sporting event or public gathering in conjunction with the same charge of inciting violent changes to the constitutional order.
On March 8, 2025, he allegedly engaged in violent behavior outside the Stari Grad police station, where he shouted, insulted, and threatened police officers, specifically demanding that one officer lower their weapon.
Furthermore, on March 11, 2025, during a public gathering at the Serbian Broadcasting Corporation (RTS) building, he reportedly entered into a verbal confrontation with several students who were a part of the security detail, blocking his path to the building's steps.
Earlier that evening, he had also allegedly incited citizens during a live broadcast near the Main Post Office to forcibly remove the country’s highest state official, the President.
Both suspects have been placed in detention for up to 48 hours, during which they are expected to be brought before judicial authorities for questioning.
