Serbia Issues Travel Warning Amid Escalating Tensions in Israel and Iran

The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises citizens against travel and recommends safety measures for those currently in the affected regions.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia has issued a warning to its citizens regarding the escalating security situation in Israel and Iran.

The ministry has advised against all travel to these countries until further notice, stressing the increased risks to personal safety.

In Israel, Serbian citizens currently present are urged to take all necessary precautions to ensure their personal safety.

Compliance with instructions from local governmental agencies is mandatory, particularly those disseminated by the Home Front Command via the National Emergency Portal, which is accessible only from devices within Israel.

To facilitate communication and coordination in light of the developing security situation in Israel, Serbian nationals are encouraged to contact the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Tel Aviv via email at serbemb.tlv@gmail.com or send a text message through WhatsApp at +972526315620.

Due to closed airspace and the suspension of all incoming and outgoing flights, Serbian citizens with planned return dates are advised to follow the guidelines provided by their airlines and remain informed about the situation through the virtual assistant managed by the Israeli Ministry of Tourism.

Contact details for the Ministry include: Email: tourism@tourism.gov.il and the Israel Virtual Tourist Office Facebook page.

In relation to travel within Israel, especially around the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and the border area with Lebanon, citizens are counseled to avoid travel to certain regions due to ongoing tensions and potential dangers.

It is necessary to monitor and adhere to instructions from local authorities concerning movement during declared emergencies.

Similarly, for those currently in Iran, the Serbian government recommends all necessary measures to maintain personal safety and compliance with directives from local governmental bodies.

Serbian citizens in Iran are advised to contact the Embassy in Tehran via email at serbemb.teheran@gmail.com or send text messages to +989352206109 and WhatsApp at 00381648787986.

As in Israel, the airspace over Iran has been closed, resulting in the suspension of all flights.

Serbian nationals who have scheduled return plans should also follow their airlines' instructions and remain updated on any changes in the situation.

Given the continued tensions and potential risks in Iran, citizens are advised to monitor and adhere to local authority guidance regarding movement in the case of emergencies.
