The First Basic Court in Belgrade grants a temporary measure for Ljubičić's return amid ongoing legal disputes against Elektroprivreda Srbije.
The First Basic Court in Belgrade has ordered the reinstatement of Dragoslav Ljubičić, a dismissed employee of Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS), following a decision on a temporary measure.
This ruling comes after a month of deliberation initiated by an urgency request from Ljubičić's attorney, Ivan Ninić.
According to Ninić, EPS is now required to acknowledge the court's decision and facilitate Ljubičić's return to his previous position as a dispatcher at the Nikola
Tesla Power Plant in Obrenovac.
This reinstatement will remain effective until the legal proceedings against EPS are resolved, a process that Ninić indicates could extend for several years.
In statements made to FoNet, Ninić affirmed the continuation of legal battles surrounding the case, asserting that Ljubičić is a victim of retaliation due to his support for student protests, which he maintained led to his dismissal.
Ninić emphasized that they will pursue the matter in court to demonstrate the unjust nature of the termination.
Ljubičić, who previously served as the union representative for EPS 'Nezavisnost' at the Nikola
Tesla Power Plant, claims his dismissal resulted from a social media post advocating for support of ongoing student protests.
He argues that the termination was improperly executed and aimed at intimidation.
As this legal situation unfolds, it raises significant implications about employee rights and union activities within state-owned enterprises in Serbia.
