Real Madrid Secures Narrow Victory Over Paris in Thrilling EuroLeague Encounter

Madrid's Real clinches its 19th win of the season with a last-minute shot, while Paris faces its 15th defeat.
In an electrifying EuroLeague matchup held at the Wizink Center in Madrid, Real Madrid narrowly defeated Paris with a score of 105-104.

This game was marked by a fierce shooting contest, with both teams combining to make a total of 30 three-pointers.

Paris recorded 19 successful shots from 34 attempts, while Real Madrid found the target 11 times from 31 attempts beyond the arc.

Mario Hezonja was the standout performer for Real Madrid, contributing 26 points, including five three-pointers, along with two steals and one assist.

He was well-supported by Dzanan Musa, who added 20 points and six assists.

Andrés Feliz and Edy Tavares each scored 15 points, while Serge Ibaka contributed 11 points to the team's tally.

Paris started the match strongly, leading by five points (28-23) after the first quarter.

Their advantage grew to seven points during the second quarter before Real Madrid equalized at 53-53 by halftime.

Following the break, the team, led by coach Tiago Splitter, initially outperformed Madrid, extending their lead to ten points.

However, Real Madrid reduced the deficit to six points (80-74) entering the final quarter.

The fourth quarter saw Real Madrid ramp up their scoring, initiating a 10-0 run that showcased their shooting prowess.

This streak began with a three-pointer from Hezonja.

Paris struggled offensively for over two minutes until Tyshon Ward finally broke their drought.

As the game progressed, Paris fought back with long-range shooting, spearheaded by Nadir Hifi.

Despite their efforts to level the match, Real Madrid managed to maintain a small lead.

Paris attempted to force overtime; with just 1.7 seconds remaining, they scored to narrow the gap to 105-101, prompting referees to review the play for possession.

Hifi made the last shot of the game from beyond the arc, bringing the final score to 105-104 in favor of Real Madrid.

With this victory, Real Madrid currently stands sixth in the EuroLeague with 19 wins against 14 losses, while Paris occupies the tenth position with 18 wins and 15 losses.

In the next round, Real Madrid will travel to Belgrade to face Partizan, while Paris will host Alba Berlin.

In other EuroLeague matches on Wednesday and Thursday, Fenerbahçe lost to Barcelona 75-83, Žalgiris fell to Partizan 70-66, Monaco was defeated by Panathinaikos 76-88, and Maccabi secured a win against Bayern 93-90.
