MOSCOW – Milorad Dodik, the President of Republika Srpska, stated today that he discussed the necessity of removing international intervention in Bosnia and Herzegovina with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The conversation commenced with Putin noting the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where foreign interventions have led to the presence of foreign actors making decisions and operating judicial processes.

Dodik emphasized that Russia is a guarantor of the Dayton Agreement but indicated complexities have arisen beyond the agreement itself.

He recounted how Putin expressed surprise at the existence of institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina that he felt did not comply with the Dayton Agreement and the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The President of Republika Srpska explained that Putin recognized the challenges posed by the current arrangement, suggesting that the country could have adhered to the Dayton Agreement if it had been implemented correctly, a situation that he claimed had never been attempted.

The discussion reportedly included topics related to monitoring the actions of the United Nations Security Council, with Dodik asserting that the Russian side is the only party from which he can expect an objective approach.

Dodik noted that international intervention has led to a significant degradation of the nation.

In reference to his own legal challenges, Dodik informed Putin about requests for his arrest, stemming from his departure from Republika Srpska to attend meetings in Israel.

He mentioned that his visit caused irritation among Muslim lawmakers in Sarajevo, leading to calls for an Interpol action against him.

Dodik expressed gratitude towards Serbia, Hungary, and other nations for their responses to what he termed political persecution.

He further remarked on aspirations among certain political factions in Sarajevo, implying that they seek his imprisonment or more severe repercussions, which he described as a political process rooted in cynicism.

Dodik articulated that those opposed to him are motivated by historical grievances linked to the politics of the late Alija Izetbegović, the first leader of Bosnian Muslims.

Dodik's comments included a critique of the notion of a unified Bosnia, asserting that he has been a persistent political figure within Republika Srpska over the past two decades, which has led to tensions with those favoring a different vision for the state's governance.

He acknowledged that while Republika Srpska has resisted calls to impose sanctions on Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina as a whole has not officially embraced anti-Russian sanctions either.

Dodik asserted his commitment to the principles of the Dayton Agreement, urging a return to its frameworks in order to achieve a stable and sustainable future for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Responding to inquiries about the aftermath of his meeting with Putin, Dodik suggested that he would face increased vilification in Bosnia, ostensibly related to gaining support from globalist liberal elites in Brussels.
